Job description
Duties: The User Experience Lead will define user experience on large scale, dynamic, and enterprise Web solutions (B2B, B2C, enterprise). The User Experience Lead will be responsible for overseeing and contributing to the end-to-end user experience solution designs, ensuring that the user experience vision and goals are achieved. The User Experience Lead will act as the user experience evangelist, and will oversee the development or review of design documents from a user experience perspective. The Lead will also contribute to the long-term vision to ensure a strong user experience.
• Act as user experience proponent and evangelist.
• Guide and onboard project team members regarding user experience vision, concepts, and practices.
• Communicate and build commitment to the overall user experience vision among the project team and stakeholders.
• Work with teams and external partners to ensure high level planning and design documents are in line with the user experience vision, standards, and guidelines.
• Develop requirements for the delivery of content strategy, user experience, information architecture, wireframes, etc.
• Manage interactions and dependencies between internal and external working teams, and coordinate delivery with Project Managers leading inter-dependent project streams.
• Oversee the translation of high level designs and plans into detailed design deliverables.
• Manage issues and risks from a user experience standpoint through all phases.
• Provide user experience solution advice and planning at all levels as required.
Education:
- Post-secondary education in Interface Design, Human Factors, Business or a related field, and a minimum of 5-10 years of lead experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- PMP certification and a strong knowledge of the PMBOK are highly recommended.
General Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining and managing the user experience within enterprise-scale web-based systems.
- Experience including web content management, web-based systems implementations, integrations and migrations.
- Strong B2B, B2C, dot-com, or web portal project experience
Certification:
- PMP certification
- Google UX Design Certificate or similar
